ABOUT

Elie graduated from Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts with a DES in architecture , and worked for the past years as a project architect.
In 2016 he decided to pursue what has long been of interest to him: Exploring the architectural European style and strategies. That’s why therefore, he enrolled in the MArch in contemporary architecture at UPC, ETSAB in Barcelona.
Since his second year of studies he worked in different studios as DW5 Bernard Khoury architects,109 architectes and Dar El Handassah to further develop his personal skills as well as professional knowledge. This taught him to design small and large scale projects, coordinate with other trades, manage site construction and of course understand the importance of the architecture with its relationship to the user. While he had also the opportunity to take on a teacher assistant position in his previous school, Elie realized that an architect is not solely a designer, but he is also an artist, an intellectual, a construction manager, a coordinator, a visionary… His master and experience in Barcelona has helped him realize the importance of public spaces and its interconnection with buildings.
“I am happy that through the medium of architecture I do not only conceive buildings but also improve the life of people and their interaction with the city”
Being passionate by architecture and design, Elie takes on some personal projects on his spare time from sketching to execution and architectural competitions.
